Rabbi Jaclyn Cohen

Rabbi Jaclyn Cohen
Rabbi Jaclyn Cohen was born and raised in Los Angeles. She spent her undergraduate years at UC Davis in Northern California, earning a BA in Religious Studies and Music. From 2006-08 she served as a cantorial soloist and educator in the Bay Area Jewish community. Ordained by HUC-JIR’s Los Angeles campus in 2014, Rabbi Cohen also holds a MAJE (Jewish education) from the Rhea Hirsch School at HUC-JIR. 

Upon ordination Rabbi Cohen joined the team of Temple De Hirsch Sinai in Seattle, Washington as Assistant Rabbi. Her primary work was with The Tribe, Temple’s hub of social, educational and spiritual connection for Jews in their 20s and 30s, as well as Village, a programmatic initiative for young families.
Rabbi Cohen is a passionate volunteer and speaker for Maternal Mental Health Now, an LA-based nonprofit doing pivotal advocacy and education around postpartum mental health, as well as Jewish Center for Justice and Planned Parenthood LA; she is also a budding yogi, set to receive her 200-hour yoga teaching certification this May. Rabbi Cohen is thrilled to be joining the team of Temple Isaiah in West LA this summer.
