Kathy Leader studied fine art and received her masters in art education in her native South Africa. After emigrating to the US in 1985, Kathy taught art in various schools including the American Jewish University where she started a mixed media and collage program. She has always been interested in the power of the creative process as both a healing and spiritual path. To that end, Kathy opened up her own studio called “The Art Process Studio” where she encourages people of all ages from children to adults to explore their inner world through various mixed media techniques, often incorporating meditation as part of the practice. The Art Process Studio conducts classes, workshops, retreats and family workshops in west Los Angeles. Kathy is a member of Leo Baeck Temple.
