Chewing on What Matters: A Conversation over Brunch about Ethical Wills

April 22, 2018 | 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

A critical way that we pass down our values and our identity, Ethical Wills are a deeply significant part of advanced care planning that often get overlooked. IKAR has worked with a team of experts in the field to create Jewishly themed content meant to help individuals begin thinking about their Ethical Wills, as well as the resources necessary to draft these important documents.

Infused with Jewish wisdom and Jewish ritual, there will be five opportunities to participate in Death Over Dinner: Jewish Ethical Wills Edition.  Check the individual webpage on the date that you would like to have a discussion about Death Over Dinner for the specific location that evening.  These dinners will offer participants a chance to tap into the core of what they believe and the values that matter most to them, over lighthearted conversation and a warm communal meal.

Beyond these five communal meals during the Festival, individuals can find all the resources on this and other topics needed to host Death Over Dinner in their homes and communities on the project’s DIY website: http://deathoverdinnerjewishedition.org/

Other “Death Over Dinner” events in the Festival take place on

April 17, April 24, April 26. Check the calendar for details and sign up.

DoD Jewish Edition was created by IKAR and Reboot and is supported by generous grants from the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles and the Jewish Ethical Wills Project, JCC Manhattan
